Join Julian as he guides us through the clavichord repertoire, including music by D. Scarlatti, and J.C. and W. F. Bach. Julian has played the clavichord for the Buxton and Canterbury Festivals, Cambridge Early Music and the Clavichord Symposium in Magnano, Italy. As a harpsichordist and organist, he has appeared as a soloist at the Southbank and Barbican Centres, and plays with the Academy of Ancient Music, Gabrieli Consort, The Sixteen and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, N.B. Please ask for a reserved seat near Julian if you are hard of hearing.

Recently described as ‘exuberantly stylish’ by the Sunday Times, Julian Perkins has a growing reputation as a keyboard player and conductor of considerable talent and versatility.

Julian has appeared with many leading soloists and ensembles at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, London, Lincoln Center, New York, and Sydney Opera House, as well as at the BBC Proms and Edinburgh International Festival. In addition to participating in productions at The Royal Opera, Covent Garden, he has performed concertos with groups including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Orchestra of the Sixteen, New London Soloists and his own group, Sounds Baroque. He will be performing Bach’s ‘48’ on clavichord over six recitals at this year’s Two Moors Festival, and will be performing harpsichord for Welsh National Opera’s production of Handel’s Orlando this Autumn for Rinaldo Alessandrini. www.julianperkins.com
