Commissions

Over the last couple of years I've been pleased to have received several commissions. Some have been based on existing work and others ideas that clients have had. So I thought I'd blow my own trumpet for once! Here are some of the comments I've received.

“Autumn” 76 x 76 cms, acrylic on canvas (2011)
“Just wanted to say ‘Thanks’ for the painting. It looks fabulous on the wall and the colours are absolutely perfect so we are delighted with it. We absolutely love the picture, as does everybody that has seen it.”

John Davis, Cirencester

“Iridescent Sea 1 & 2” 50 x 100 cms, acrylic on canvas (2011)
“I have never commissioned any artwork before but was delighted at how approachable, flexible and affordable Sara Gilbert was with her work. She kept me fully updated and even undertook producing coasters to match the paintings. She hand delivered the artwork to me and I can’t praise her enough for her professionalism and creativity: she managed to interpret exactly what I had in my head onto canvas.”
Wendy Walmsley, Pressline Marketing, Portishead

“ We were compelled to purchase Sara’s Sea Tryptych having seen it in a local gallery. We were so pleased with it we commissioned her to paint another tryptych from photographs of a Scottish island we stay on. Both enhance our hall and staircase. We are not artists but appreciate Sarah’s use of colour and her interpretation of a subject.”

“Lismore Triptych” and “Sea Triptych” 50 x 50 cms (3 canvases), oil on canvas (2010)
Andy & Tricia Fairclough, Bournemouth

“We still get a great deal of pleasure from our painting” Jan & Mike Trevorrow, Kingswear, Devon (purchased Sea Triptych1 2009)

“A huge thank you for sending me the complimentary card of Yellowstone Crater - it is even more striking than I remembered it to be. I love your style of art work - it says such a lot to me. Myself and my family really enjoyed visiting your studio, what a fantastic place in which to be inspired.”
Cath Davison, Exwick, Devon
