The Society performs five shows a season (September to June) at the Lawrence Batley Theatre and also holds various Workshops and social events. Our headquarters are at Oakes Mill West where we rehearse, store furniture and costumes, build sets, and hold committee meetings. There are many facets to being a member of the Thespians as well as acting and directing there is a need for stage staff to design and construct the sets, wardrobe to clothe the actors, technical to design and control sound and light, stage management to manage the running of a play, publicity and front of house.
