Candlelit Dartmouth Christmas comes early to Dartmouth town
Candelit Dartmouth's Festive Weekend arrives in town with its unique mix of Christmas markets, a candlelit procession, late-night shopping and, of course, Santa's Spectacular 'Splashdown' arrival in the middle of The Boat Float.
This year, the fun starts on Friday, November 28. That's when the Christmas Market comes to life in the Royal Avenue Gardens with mulled wine, music and a host of local stalls full of Christmas gifts and festive eats, followed by the official switch-on of the town's Christmas Lights and, of course, Carols by Candlelight.
The festivities continue throughout Saturday, Nov 29 with more market stalls, music and entertainers all day, before the highlight of the traditional willow and tissue Lantern Procession, bringing a truly magical start to Christmas in a truly magical town.
STOP PRESS: Community Lantern Workshop at Dartmouth Academy Sunday 23 November between 10am - 4pm. £5 to make your own lantern. All welcome.
