Project Support Officer ( Arts, Culture & Heritage)

Contract type: 6 months Fixed term contract ( With potential to extend)
Full Time: 35 hours
Salary: £21,840 (Pro- rata) Location: Borehamwood

About the role

We are looking for a Project Support Officer who will play a key part in realising our programmes and delivering our vision. You will have the experience of leading arts and craft workshops, managing creative projects, developing new collaborations, and implementing cultural schemes .

Responsibilities
The role includes the delivery of a range of community projects, the organisation of events and the development of services with individuals and groups.
You will manage defined projects and processes as identified by the Creative Director.

With 3 years’ experience working in a project management role, you will have an active interest in arts and heritage. It is vital that you are organised, and can work as part of a team as well as independently.

You have the ability to multi-task and take responsibility for a variety of different projects. The successful candidate will support with marketing activities, including social media. In this role, you will track progress in delivering the work plan and expenditure against the budget, including updating the project work plan.
You will equally have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with external partners and stakeholders.

With your experience of project work, you will be comfortable with monitoring outcomes. You will also be adept at producing reports, and maintaining paper and electronic file systems.

Our requirements:

We are looking for someone who has :
At least 3 years previous experience in a similar role
Demonstrable knowledge and professional experience in the arts, culture and creative industries
Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects in more than one location.
Ability to work to tight deadlines
A flexible, self-starting attitude,
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal),
Experience using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
Educated to degree level in Fine Arts or equivalent or demonstrate equivalent experience.

Other requirements not mentioned above
Willingness to travel to a variety of locations as required for the role
Occasional evening and weekend required for which time off in lieu may be taken
