Are you fascinated by the silver screen? Want to have your say in the next screening and decompress afterwards with other cinephiles over a drink at the bar? Then come and join us for something a little bit different.

We’d welcome your short film to play before our main feature or maybe even have an old school cartoon. Along the way, we’ll make things interesting by showing short pieces about the film's origins and even having guest speakers.

It will grow with and from the community that feeds Trestle Film. We want to start the proceedings with Tim Burton’s 1989 classic BATMAN, to mirror our Christmas showing BATMAN RETURNS later in the year. Nothing quite satisfies like the caped crusader and just maybe if you ask nicely we’ll do the Bat Dance TM.

Batman (1989)

Tim Burton directs; Michael Keaton stars as Batman; and Jack Nicholson stars as his arch foe, The Joker, in the first of the blockbuster Batman series of features.

As the Dark Knight, defender of law and order in Gotham City, Batman treads the shadow zone between right and wrong, fighting with only his skill in martial arts and his keenly honed mind to defend the innocent and to purge the memory of his parents' brutal murder--always keeping his true identity as millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne a closely guarded secret.
