On Saturday, 28th April, Torquay Museum is pleased to host the Friends of Devon's Archives in their Spring Meeting. Opening with tea/coffee at 09:45, the day involves a series of talks as follows -
'JMW Turner in the West Country’ by Prof. Sam Smiles (University of Plymouth)
‘The History of Clothing and Fashion’ by Shelley Tobin (RAMM/Killerton)
'Recording Devon Photographically 1850s-1870s' by Dr Tom Greeves
‘Torquay Museum and its Collections’ by Barry Chandler (Torquay Museum).
There will be tea/coffee/biscuits available during the day (at additional cost) and lunch can be booked at Pengelly's Cafe - ring the Museum directly and ask to speak to Jacqui, the Cafe Manager, to arrange.
