Torbay Action for Art 1st March Minutes
Torbay Action for Art, a small group who meet to work towards a dedicated Arts space in the Bay and support each other and network met on the 1st March.
We started by discussing the progress of our ‘Statement of Intent.’ This has now been sent to various parties for inclusion in the local Neighbourhood Plans. We also discussed a visit which had taken place by certain members of the group to a property that has emerged as one of the favourite locations for a dedicated arts space in the Bay,( details to be announced). The visit went very well and the conversations with relevant parties are on-going. The next business was to talk about officially constituting the group as we have made so much progress with our aims. We continue to work on this as all the members agreed that we need to be properly constituted as we move forward. Some time was then spent sharing individual endeavours that each person is working on to support each other in these. The date for the next meeting was set as Friday 19th April from 5pm – 7pm in the Linx Offices, 1a Clifton Road, Paignton TQ3 3LN. Anyone who supports the aims of the group is very welcome, just turn up.
