Easter at Tolson
There will be lots going on at Tolson Museum in Huddersfield to keep children occupied over the Easter holidays.
The museum in Ravensknowle Park on Wakefield Road will be running its popular annual Easter trail from Saturday, 13 April, until Sunday, 28 April. Youngsters will have to find the Easter eggs hidden around the galleries and rearrange the letters on them into a chocolate-themed phrase. The trail is free and children will receive a sweet treat for taking part. Correct answers will be entered into a prize draw.
On Wednesday, 17 April, fairandfunky will be back at the museum with their SCRAPtastic workshop, creating artworks from recycled materials! Families can drop in anytime from 11am-1pm or 2pm-3pm to make beautiful flower mobiles and juice carton planters. The workshop is suitable for three to 12 years olds and costs £3.50 per child, payable on the day. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout.
Then on Easter Sunday, 21 April, the Friends of Tolson Museum are running an Easter Egg Hunt between 1pm and 3pm. Children have to find the answers to clues hidden in the museum, park and the Heritage Memorial Gardens. Completed sheets will win an Easter egg.
Children should register for the hunt in the museum. The cost is £1 per child.
