Art course with award winning artist - Painting the horse

Enjoy a day of art surrounded by the beautiful West Sussex countryside at our 18th century farm

Working from a live model you will observe the anatomy and movement of the horse. Beginning with a series of quick sketches you will look at the horse as a whole to understand the basic structure. Further sketches will be built up in monochrome using charcoal to introduce form and tone. You will then construct a painting in the medium of your choice introducing value and colour and have a completed painting to take home.

By the end of the day you will have a better understanding of how to approach and capture the structure of the horse and a greater knowledge of how the horse moves.

An introductory price of £60 includes coffee, tea and a nice home cooked lunch
