Craft of Marmalade Making with Julia Ponsonby

Craft of Marmalade Making with Julia Ponsonby

10am - 4pm
£50.00 Cost includes materials, jars, and a lovely lunch.

Start the New Year with a fresh batch of homemade marmalade!

1 Day Course.
January is the time of year to make the most of the bitter Seville oranges and savour the wonderful aroma of hot oranges, and take away the fruit of your labours to enjoy all year round. This is the opportunity to try and share techniques, and to make your own lovely labels. We will make two marmalades using different techniques; classic Seville Orange and Lemon & Lime.

Julia Ponsonby has been Head of Food at Schumacher College for over twenty years. She is the author of The Art of Mindful Baking and the best-selling Gaia’s Kitchen, Green Books and Gaia’s Feast published last year. The College was founded to work towards a new world-view of sustainable living in harmony with the natural environment and the whole human race. Julia's culinary style developed to fit those founding principles; local, sustainably sourced ingredients prepared using cooking methods from around the world.
