The Barefoot Players present The Alchemist by Ben Jonson, directed by Eleanor Conlon & James Davies
Lovewit flees, leaving a house empty, except for cobwebs, rats and three con-artists, who use the house as a front to swindle and trick their way through a series of gullible customers.
Jonson's comedy is revived in roaring 1920s Brighton with back-door antics, ridiculous disguises and titillating burlesque.
