7 days per week from 8.00am to 6.00pm and for evening events when required
Flexible hours available ranging from 15 to 37 hours per week

Inclusive Salary Range from £19,467 up to £21,138 per year for 37hpw
plus up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

St Albans Museums runs several sites including Verulamium Museum, the 15th century Clock Tower and a New Museum and Gallery in St Albans Town Hall, at the heart of the city centre.
In this post you will work to ensue all our visitors have an enjoyable, educational and safe visit to the Council’s museums. This will include manning the reception and shop areas of the museums as well as providing tourist information on our facilities and the area.
You must be educated to GCSE level in English and Maths at grade A – C or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through experience. Good organisational and administrative skills, attention to detail (in order to deal with the needs of visitors and groups, cash and shop stock, without mistake or omission) are essential for these posts.
Previous experience of working within a customer services or retail/shop environment together with working knowledge of the MSOffice Suite is essential. Knowledge of or interest in local history/archaeology and the museum collections would be desirable.
