Lecturer – Computing

Salary: £23, 546 – £31,597

Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term until July 2014 with the possibility of extension/permanency

Due to the growth and expansion of the CISCO Academy, Youth Academies and ICT apprenticeships an opportunity has become available for a professional Lecturer in Computing undertaking formal scheduled teaching duties. The role requires having a keen interest and understanding of student centred learning and ability to teach creatively adapting to the needs of a variety of students.

The successful candidate should have a relevant technical qualification alongside appropriate subject knowledge up to and including level 5 programmes in relevant field. Ideally you will already hold a teaching qualification but if not the college will support you to gain teacher training qualifications. You should have experience within the computing industry and in particular experience with Networking, particularly with Cisco would be an advantage alongside experience of assessing learners in the workplace.
