Time can be described as a simple progression from one state to the next, linear like history and language, progressive and sequential. But life isn’t like that, it loops around with slips from happy highs to disabling dips – feeling more like cycles which never ends, birth, life, death, birth, life, death, on and on. It’s about gestation, cycles and the eternal recurrence of a biological rhythm – nature and the changing seasons. Wastes of Time is a celebration of those changes through shape, shadow and colour. Variously printed leaves in the colours of each season, mark the passing of time and evokes a sense of change.
