A Call Out to be part of the Arts on Prescription Project in St Albans

Description:

The St Albans Arts Team is seeking to engage a Visual Artist to be part of this pilot project and to develop a series of workshops for participants utilizing a variety of visual art media.

Working with the St Albans Arts Team, St Albans District Council and Mind in Mid Herts, the aim is to run a pilot scheme of 9 workshops to establish best practice.

We are looking for a Visual Artist with extensive experience of working within the Mental Health field, who can deliver high quality, person centred sessions. It is anticipated that initially the workshops will run weekly from March to May 2016, with a 2nd phase later in the year. You will be working with those referred from GP surgeries, mental health partners and professionals.

There is a fixed fee of £30.00 per hour and each workshop will be 2 hours, including preparation and delivery time.

To be considered, please send a CV and no more than one A4 page (200 words) outlining how you would approach this project. We are looking for innovative, exciting ideas which will benefit the participants.
