Ray Whyard Artist
Ray was trained at the St Albans School of Art and Medway College of Art.
After two years’ military service in the the Royal Army Medical Corps he spent the best part of 40 years teaching in both secondary and further education.
Ray’s work is a mixture of pure design, with naturalistic formalisation and observation.
There are paintings of his in private collections in six countries and one large painting of London Beadles hangs in the City of London Guildhall administration block.
Closer to home, two of his paintings hang at Brocket Hall Golf Club in Welwyn and five at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel and Country Club at Thundridge.
In Bishop’s Stortford, his work can be seen at JD Wetherspoon’s Port Jackson pub and in the Jackson Square shopping centre.
