Job Title: RePlay Development Co-ordinator

Reports to: Replay Team

Hours per week: 7 (flexible may include some weekend working)

Duration: July 2013 – December 2014

Salary: Depending on grade from £10.00 – £15.00 per hour

Employment: Part-time, temporary

Description:

We are seeking to employ a Development Worker with transferable skills in youth participation, heritage, digital media and project management. The Replay Development Worker will ensure that the participation of children and young people is built into Replay to capture and interpret the heritage of Children’s Week. The lessons from this project will support the Friends of Torbay Community Play Days learn from the experiences of young people and help to develop the future work of the organisation.

You will be required to:

- Create a variety of opportunities that enable children and young people to join in RePlay Team safely and in ways that are both fun and meaningful

- Offer expertise in communicating and engaging with children and young people from a range of backgrounds, particularly those who are likely to be socially excluded

- Support young people taking a lead in the development of their own provision

- Support young people to raise funds to develop their own ideas

- Work with young people to develop projects using a wide range of creative and imaginative approaches

- Support the longer term development of The work

- Work in partnership with young people and their families, with Friends of Torbay Community Play Days, Friends of Children’s Week and with other organisations.
