The Web Hilary Portman

The concept of Hilary’s design is based on 'the web' being a tangible or ethereal entity, intrinsically linking people, place and natural environment. The choices we make in both industry and leisure can either support this fragile web or knowingly destroy all that the earth provides to support our human and wildlife habitats. 

"A web is defined as a 'woven structure' or 'network', for me this  created the thought of how the term WWW (World Wide Web)could also describe the delicate structure on which our world survives. The need for us to communicate, re-connect with nature and to become a 'link' in that web, will in turn help us to love, appreciate and support the very thing that supports us".
