The ellipse makes reference to the Luna Cycle, the waning moon and the undulating forms refer to the ribbed shapes left in the sand by the outgoing tide. Stone is a natural material varied and individual. in this piece I have exploited a natural 'flaw' in the stone to create a two-tone texture to part of the sculpture, reminiscent of a luna landscape
