Piano Competitions for All

The festival will feature piano competitions for all ages and abilities. Each participant will receive constructive and invaluable feedback from chart-topping Chinese Steinway Artist Ji Liu. Medals, certificates and a range of prizes will be awarded to participants who achieve 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Foundation - Deadline for applying February 28th 2020
(suitable for approximately pre-grade 1 ability)
Own-choice - 2 minutes

Ages:

12 and under (foundation)
Novice - Deadline for applying February 28th 2020
(suitable for approximately grade 1-3 ability)
Own-choice - 3 minutes

Ages:

8 and under (novice)
9 to 11 (novice)
12 to 15 (novice)
16 to 18 (novice)
19+ (novice)
Intermediate - Deadline for applying February 28th 2020
(suitable for approximately grade 4-6 ability)
Own-choice - 5 minutes

Ages:

8 and under (intermediate)
9 to 11 (intermediate)
12 to 15 (intermediate)
16 to 18 (intermediate)
19+ (intermediate)

Advanced - Deadline for applying February 28th 2020
(suitable for approximately grade 7-8+ ability)
Own-choice but must include a work published by Master Music Publications* - 9 minutes

* Participates in the advanced category may choose a piece of any grade for the piano published by Master Music Publications.
