MANASAMITRA MENTORING SCHEME

Are you an emerging female composer of colour, interested and/or working in cross-cultural or fusion music? If so this may be the ideal opportunity for you.
Manasamitra delivered an extremely successful pilot project in 2020 after revising logistics and the delivery process to factor in COVID-19 restrictions. One scheme graduate stated:
“I would have to say applying for this programme was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my career so far”.
Manasamitra is once again offering this unique mentoring opportunity to six young women, preferably living and working in the North of England who are at an early stage of their music careers and who are interested in developing their composition abilities within a cross-genre environment. You will need to be interested in working with other music forms to create something genuinely new and original. Artistic Director / Composer Supriya Nagarajan will work with the successful mentees in both group and one-to-one situations to develop new works for public presentation.
