Technical Manager required for small St Albans theatre

The Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans requires a Technical Manager.
The theatre is small (140 seats), well-equipped and lively It services the artistic community of St Albans and area, hosting theatre, jazz, folk, comedy,classical music & comedy. There is generally a different show in every week, as well as regular day time and evening users.
The commitment on both sides would be for a guaranteed minimum number of hours per month, the rate and number to be negotiated.
The role would suit someone just starting to build a career, or looking to down size, or perhaps looking for a retirement job.

Duties include regular checking and maintenance of technical equipment, conducting inductions and advising visiting performers and groups.

There are plentiful opportunities for additional freelance work, with our many and varied clients.
