The Sum of All Knowledge / Wakefield Artwalk Sept 2013
The Sum of All Knowledge is our tribute to the encyclopaedias of our childhood, where everything that needed to be learned about the world could be found within their pages: cross-referenced, summarised and illustrated in glorious full colour.
Sometimes we would read them the right way and sometimes the wrong way, distracted by an unexpected picture on the facing page or trying to imagine something described through words alone.
We made connections, daydreamed and reflected upon whether we would understand more when we grew up.
Not everything in them was true, but all of it was useful.
