Let's Toast workshop

Are you an inspiring lyricist, performer or toaster? Toasting is a style of lyrical chanting which in reggae and dancehall music involves a deejay talking over a riddim (rhythm).

Come along and learn to compose your own lyrics over dub beats!

Please note, on arrival you will need to register at the Creative Arts Building entrance foyer.

The workshop forms part of the Let’s Play Vinyl National Tour developed by Let's Go Yorkshire in partnership with the University of Leicester, Goldsmiths-University of London, Birmingham City University and the University of Huddersfield.
