Freelance Project Manager
Lawrence Batley Theatre is partnering with Kirklees Libraries to deliver an action research cultural engagement project. The project will be run across 6 Libraries in Batley, Birkby, Deighton, Dewsbury, Ravensthorpe, Rawthorpe, and aims to engage library users, groups, and the local community in participatory creative activities. We are seeking a freelance Project Manager to support the delivery of the project. You will work with Kirklees Libraries staff and volunteers and a pool of freelance artists. You will be responsible for all aspects of project management and will work as part of our Participation Team. You will have at least 2 years’ experience of project management within an arts, cultural or charitable organisation with a focus on cultural engagement with hard to reach and diverse groups. You will have experience of managing and supporting freelance artists, managing budgets, building relationships with a wide range of people, and establishing and implementing evaluation and monitoring procedures. You will have a current, enhanced DBS check and experience of safeguarding. We particularly welcome applications from people who reflect the diverse communities served by the 6 libraries.
