On 28th November 1756, HMS Torbay engaged and defeated the 22 gun French privateer “La Roche” off the SW coast of Wales. All but two of the French crew were brought aboard Torbay as prisoners, the 2 remaining to help sail her into Milford Haven as a prize with 8 British crew, they arrived at Milford Haven 3rd December after some delay caused by the two French crew.
