I first came across this Islamic design about 40 years ago. I was about 14 at the time and to this day continues to mesmerize me. Over the years I have created many different variations in a hexagonal format. This shape has limitations, so I created a rectangular version.
The design above was created during the month of May 2011 and has been named "Mascara". It has over 170 unique colours. Fabrics used: Glazed cotton chintz and cotton craft fabric of various weights.
