Future Shores is recruiting a crack team of 4 Music Leaders and 4 Music Leader Trainees to deliver 2 projects funded by Youth Music across Torbay over the next 2 years.
Make Music Now and Songstress are projects that have been devised and built by young people living in Torbay who want to create a music making offer which embraces their youth culture and gives them the skills they need to create the music which is relevant to them.
Music Leaders
We are looking for Music Leaders who are dynamic, creative and have a ‘can do’ attitude. They need to be able to work responsively and have a passion for sharing their own skills, knowledge and experience with others so they too become inspired by music making and the creative process.
We are looking for multi instrumentalists, vocalists, composers and producers who are resourceful and can use the world around them to enrich the creative offer.
Within both projects we will also be recruiting a bank of additional Music Leaders for individual creative sessions and mentoring where appropriate.
Remuneration = £20 - £25 per hour depending on experience.
Music Leader Trainees
Future Shores gives a commitment to creating a legacy in the communities where it works so that if a project isn’t sustainable the skills are left there for people to make their own projects happen. Music Leader Trainees are a vital part of this process as its making sure there is music making for the future.
If know of a young person who is really into music, has some musical or vocal skill and loads of energy ask them to apply for a Music Leader Trainee post. Within it there is the chance to learn new skills, get new accreditation and make some really exciting projects happen in Torbay.
Remuneration = £8 - £10 per hour depending on experience.
