Listen to the Music!
Hear young musicians from Kirklees Music Centres and local primary schools making music on the bandstand in Greenhead Park this summer. The programme of free concerts runs on Saturdays in June and July, 2pm to 4pm.
Programme details are:
June 14 - Cleckheaton Music Centre Intermediate, Senior and Big Bands
June 21 - Huddersfield Music Centre Senior Band and St Joseph's & Dalton Primary Schools Mixed Ensembles
June 28 - Colne Valley Music Centre Intermediate/Senior Band, Colne Valley Community Choir and Kirklees Music School Soul Band
July 5 - Holme Valley Music Centre Intermediate Band, Moorlands Primary School Brass Group & Choir and Kirklees Youth Brass Band
Collections at the concerts will go to the Kirklees Music Centre Gift of Music Fund which helps talented youngsters whose families are unable to afford regular music tuition.
No seating provided but you are welcome to bring your own fold-up chairs or rugs.
