Streetspeare - Unique schools performance project.

Streetspeare is a unique learning opportunity that gives schools the chance to enhance students understanding of Shakespeare by partaking in a unique street performance project. Streetspeare challenges the notion that studying Shakespeare can be dull and boring through workshops and performances that allow young people the chance to discover Shakespeare through their own creativity.
Our workshops get students devising around text and language and street performance techniques give them the tools to lift Shakespeare form the page to stage. Through our workshops students develop ideas that they can then put into practice.
Once a workshop has been completed students are then invited to create short abridged versions of one of Shakespeare’s plays, highlighting key themes and issues they feel are most important.
The reward is performing their finished plays at the very heart of their local communities, in the streets, parks and shopping centres of their cities, towns and villages.
The result, a memorable experience that creates unique learning outcomes which are enjoyable and rewarding.
