The latest exhibition to be displayed in our Community Gallery is the ‘Addison Act Exhibition’, which celebrates 100 years of Council Housing. The exhibition, which brings together a series of photographs of Council Housing in Doncaster, is named after Christopher Addison, the Housing Minister who introduced legislation in 1919 which made it a legal responsibility for Local Authorities to provide homes for working people. The exhibition has been put together by St Leger Homes.
