Exploring the Museum: On Board the DH.121 Trident
Webinar: 7pm - 8pm
We are excited to launch the "de Havilland Live: Exploring the Museum" fortnightly Zoom webinar programme, and to kick things off we're starting with one of the most innovative airliners of the 1960s: the DH.121 Trident.
Its development saw huge changes in the de Havilland Company and right across the Aviation industry, and it helped to usher in the era of cheap and accessible air travel for holidaymakers and business travellers alike. From on board the Museum’s Trident 2, we’ll look at the technology and design of the aircraft and we’ll take a tour of the aircraft itself, guided by Museum Curator Alistair Hodgson, with the Museum's Trident Custodian Les Rawlins and Archivist Pete Shallcross, with opportunities for Q&As throughout.
This is a rare opportunity to explore the Museum's exhibits even closer than visitor access would normally allow!
This is a family-friendly webinar, and we actively encourage younger people with an interest in aviation and engineering to participate.
To book your place please follow the registration link below; registration costs £5. Places are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
