Trespass
An installation sited at Adam Gallery, London and recently included in a new book: 'Interviews Artists - Patterns of Experience'. The show was created in a series of small rooms with features such as fireplaces, cupboards and alcoves. Pieces were placed in relation to these features - the cupboards stuffed with numerous related pieces which could just be seen peaking out through the half opened doors - visitors were enticed to open them up and look into the crowded interiors - full of the tangled web of wires each piece crushed against its neighbours - a metaphor for the crowded thoughts of our minds and hearts. Other pieces emerged from a fire place, rested on a mantle piece or bent over a windowsill, the feature and the work forming a partnership of relationships. A life size drawing of one of the pieces made directly onto the wall completed the circle.
