Painting in the Landscape course with Danny Holmes - Adams

Join Danny Holmes-Adams - one of the best painters in the south west for a week of landscape painting in the stunning landscape of Drewsteignton, Dartmoor. This course is part of Dartmoor Arts Project Summer School.
Danny's personal experience and deep understanding of colour is central to this course and he quietly and confidently guides students through the complexities and techniques of oil painting in the landscape with a particular emphasis on the use of colour.

Students will be working directly from the landscape and the preliminary work will consist of walks and sketchbook studies in order to become familiar with the Dartmoor environment. Students will gain a deeper understanding of painting with oils, learn how to evolve their own ideas and discover increased confidence and enthusiasm. Group and one-to-one tuition will be offered throughout the week and there will be plenty of opportunity for group discussions and a constructive group critique at the end of the week.
