Kirklees Council is commemorating the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the end of the Second World War in Europe.

The Coronavirus emergency and the Government requirements on social distancing means that most of the community events across the country, planned for the 8 May have had to be cancelled or postponed in order to keep people safe and healthy.

However they still have got lots going on from doorstep sing-a-longs and craft activities to war time memories and lighting up our landmarks.
