#techgoals is coming!

#techgoals is coming!

The Leeds City Region LEP’s #techgoals campaign is gearing up for its major launch in early December.

The #techgoals campaign is designed to help pupils understand the importance of digital skills to the future world of work, and that Leeds City Region is one of the most exciting places in the tech sector right now. The LEP has commissioned the employer body the Tech Partnership to deliver the first stage of this, including:

- Online classroom resources for Key Stages 3 and 4
- The award winning TechFuture Girls after-school club resources for girls aged 9 – 14
- Online and face to face Teacher CPD for primary and secondary teachers – including supply cover for the events
- The chance to earn online achievement badges, for secondary students
- Engagement with local employers.
There will also be a fun-to-enter competition, with categories for both primary (Years 5 and 6) and secondary (Years 7 and 8) students and a range of exciting prizes.

Watch out for more news, including how to book a place on the CPD events, in December.

In the meantime, teachers can apply for an account to www.lcrtechgoals.com by emailing helpdesk@techfuture.com, providing their full name (first and surname) and their school name and postcode. Use #techgoals registration in the email subject field.
