Suffragette Themed Bronze & Silver Arts Award Training

IVE are launching a special Arts Award training session that both qualifies all participants to become a Bronze & Silver Arts Award Adviser and gives them access to a framework and resources to deliver a special Arts Award themed around the 100 year anniversary of women in Britain first gaining the right to vote.

When: Monday 12th November 9:30 - 4:30
Where: Leeds Discovery Centre, Carlisle Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS10 1LB
Who: Anyone who works with Young People and is not already an Arts Award Adviser.

The suffragette resources are aimed at KS2 and KS3 and include a parcel of resources plus access to digital resources which will provide further ideas, links to the curriculum and links to the array of resources that have been produced this year, the 100th anniversary of women beginning to get the vote. These resources will provide schools/cultural organisations with a variety of objects, archives, copies of personal stories and effects and activity guidance for promoting and inspiring pupils curiosity and equipping them to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence and develop perspective and judgement and understand the process of change that has shaped our society today.
