Leeds 2023 are looking for an experienced senior content manager to design and deliver their content strategy for the Year of Culture.

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Purpose of the role:

• Developing the LEEDS 2023 content strategy across owned and earned media (editorial including web, social, other marketing content)
• Delivering high quality creative content which engages all our audiences to support and take part in the programme.
• Taking editorial overview of all our content, ensuring it meets our aims and objectives, is in line with our brand proposition ‘Letting Culture Loose’ in the brand look and feel and tone of voice; and helps tell the story of our creative programme.
• Ensuring our content and messaging aligns with our wider strategic Marketing/Media/PR and public affairs work

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing content strategy across owned and earned media, working closely with our PR agency, Content and Social Media Officer and wider Marketing/Experience Design/Creative teams.
• Overseeing a joined-up content plan which is in line with audience development goals,
marketing/strategic media/PR and public affairs priorities and key programme delivery milestones
• Taking an editorial overview of all our content including strategic forward planning
• Producing multi-media content that engages diverse audiences with our creative programme, working closely with the Content and Social Media Officer, Graphic Designer and external agency/freelance resource
• Management of effective stakeholder communications plan for our B2B audiences.
• Working with the experience design team on best practice for SEO, copywriting/AV content/imagery,
accessibility, and integration with the overall LEEDS 2023 online experience.
• Developing and implementing content standards to ensure our content is accessible for audiences
with diverse needs
• Overseeing review of content performance metrics and engagement against our target
audiences/audience segments.
• Build resourcing for the content needs of the LEEDS 2023 team, including developing for example photography, film, audio roster to ensure consistency of approach.
• Line management of a small team, with a focus on active management of external agencies/resource as required.
• Budget management of content strands of activity
