Projectionist/Technician, Hebden Bridge Picture House

25 HOURS PER WEEK
£20,092 pro rata (equivalent to £10.44 per hour)

HRTC is seeking to recruit a Projectionist/Technician to join their Front of House/Exhibition Team at the Hebden Bridge Picture House, to work regular hours each week plus be flexible to work additional hours, covering other staff members’ hours on a casual basis for holiday and sickness absence and working a share of additional shifts e.g. matinees during school holidays.

Responsible for all technical aspects of screenings and live events at the Picture House, under the line management of the Head Technician, working under the Duty Manager on shift, the Projectionist/Technician role’s duties also include:

• To operate, maintain and provide technical support for other hirers/users of the Picture House technical equipment including the safe operation of stage lighting.
• To support and advise the Picture House Manager on all building maintenance issues, and to undertake basic maintenance and inspection duties.
• To have a strong understanding of, and helping to implement, the Picture House’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• To be part of the Front of House team where required, supporting the Duty Manager in operations when the cinema is open to the public.

They are looking for someone who is technically adept, practical, friendly and polite, organised, self-motivated, industrious, flexible, reliable, honest and has an excellent level of attention to detail. Due to screening 18 rated films you must be over 18 years of age.
Shifts will be a mix of evenings, weekday mornings and weekend afternoons, usually on a rota where the same shift pattern is worked each week.
