Open Call for Filmmaker, Summer School by Wakefield Council

Open Call for Filmmaker, Summer School by Wakefield Council

Wakefield Council are pleased to offer a commission for a suitable organisation, business, or individual practitioner to produce and direct a collection of short films documenting their new creative development programme, summer s’cool.

The films will capture the spirit of summer s’cool, documenting the learning outcomes for children and young people in a captivating and inspiring format. They are particularly interested in an inclusive approach where the creative work made by the young people forms part of the film.

The filmmaker must be willing to work collaboratively with up to two Trainees (e.g., college / university students or other early career trainees) on this project, offering them a learning opportunity of work experience and professional guidance.

The film will form part of their evaluation of summer s’cool and will be widely shared on linked websites e.g., Creative Wakefield, social media platforms, as well as by their delivery partners.
