Digital grants for creative projects in West Yorkshire
Creative England are running a grant programme for businesses operating in West Yorkshire as part of the GamesLab Leeds programme, funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund.
A grant for £2000 is available for businesses, charities and CICs or those willing to register a business before September 1st. In order to be eligible you must be operating in the 'Leeds City Region', which is Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield, York and North Yorkshire County Council.
Creative England are looking for projects that are either games, utilise game technology or explore the concept of play using technology. This includes, but is not limited to;
- Games
- Digital animation
- Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality (XR)
- Workshops working with the public that utilise game technology
- R&D around game software
- Theatre, dance, music etc. that utilise game technology in a strong way
The grant will cover your time, equipment, software or additional people to work on an existing project. It will not cover rent, existing running costs or any activity taking place outside of Leeds City Region.
