Continuity Grants for England’s Culture Recovery Fund Recipients

Continuity Grants for England’s Culture Recovery Fund Recipients

Opens 16 August. Closes 27 August.

Arts Council England’s Culture Recovery Fund: Continuity Support programme is part of the Government’s financial package designed to protect the UK’s culture and heritage sectors from the economic impacts of COVID-19.

The aim of this strand of the programme is to continue supporting the thousands of cultural organisations that received funding from the Culture Recovery Fund: Grants programme in the first or second rounds, but are in need of additional financial support to help them transition back to full operation as the country begins to emerge from the pandemic.

The total budget for the programme is up to £150 million. Organisations should only apply for the amount they need to get them to a position where they are operating on a viable and sustainable basis by 31 January 2022. The minimum amount that can applied for is £25,000. The Arts Council expects that organisations would not apply for more than 25% per cent of their annual turnover (pre-COVID-19).

The total maximum level of funding that organisations can receive across the three rounds of the Culture Recovery Fund, by sector, is as follows:

£4 million for not-for-profit organisations.
£4 million for local authorities or universities.
£1.5 million for businesses (for-profit organisations or groups).
Recipients of a Culture Recovery Fund Grant in the first or second rounds, or organisations that have had support from the Emergency Grassroots Music Venues Fund, may apply. To qualify, organisations must be able to demonstrate, via cashflow forecast, that without further financial support they are at risk of no longer trading viably by 31 March 2022.

Arts and cultural organisations across England, including charitable and non-profit organisations, private organisations, commercial for-profit ventures, statutory and other public bodies, including universities and local authorities that run or maintain cultural services, are all eligible.

Applications will open on Monday 16 August 2021 (12:00 BST). The deadline to apply will be Friday 27 August 2021 (12:00 BST).
