Community Arts Practitioner, Rural Arts
At Rural Arts, the mission is exactly what it says on the tin: to bring arts of all kinds to rural communities.
They take participatory arts activities and professional performance to schools, village halls and community settings across 3,000 square miles of rural North Yorkshire. At The Courthouse, their Grade II listed arts centre in Thirsk, we host a bi-annual programme of performance, exhibitions and workshops, as well as an award-winning café, artisan shop and rooms for hire.
The Community Arts Practitioner is a vital role at Rural Arts, delivering a large portion of artistic activity both in-house and on participatory projects.
A consummate and widely skilled visual artist, you will devise and deliver arts activities, manage Rural Arts’ studio and assist the Community Programme Manager in effective project management.
This role includes some Saturday morning working and a full, valid UK driving license is highly desirable.
30 hours per week, £18,000 per annum pro-rata plus benefits.
