CALL OUT FOR APPLICATIONS: TWO DIGITAL COMMISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES

Cast is a professional arts organisation in the heart of Doncaster, based in a twin auditoria theatre venue and presenting performance throughout the year.

During the pandemic, they piloted the commissioning of digital work – this ranged from programming digital shows; live streaming shows, commissioning our first digital crime series; organising digital scratch nights; and supporting artists with developing their digital practice. We have benefitted from receiving funding from Garfield Weston Foundation to offer two digital commissions to further develop this work.

They are looking for creative, ambitious and innovative digital ideas that experiment with new concepts and which might have the potential to reach new audiences.

They would like proposals to relate to any of the following themes:

Raises awareness of the environment and the impact of global warming.
A digital work that helps Cast engage with marginalised audiences or audiences who do not regularly attend Cast.
Helps Cast engage with specific younger audiences.
Helps celebrate Cast’s 10th birthday
What we can offer

£10,000 fee (include materials and any expenses which will result in a new art work that can be viewed, performed or experienced.
Two weeks R&D space at Cast in Doncaster.
Up to five days of Technical support.
Marketing, press and PR support.
Opportunities to share work in progress with audiences or as an industry sharing.
Timeline and Application process

They are asking for expressions of interests that include the following information:

your intended category(s) that your proposal falls into.
Description of your proposal (or a 5-minute audio/video presentation).
A bio of yourself (or your team) with signposting to online examples of your previous work.
A creative reference from a past partnership or commission.

The deadline is Wednesday 8 December 2021.
