Artists announced for residency project

We are delighted to announce that Bradford based artists Jean McEwan and Sophie Powell have been awarded the Postcards From the Future residency which explores the value of arts and culture as a way to engage people in the future of places.

Kirklees Postcards From the Future seeks to reveal the hidden histories, stories and assets of places. From urban town centres to rural villages, walking and cycle ways, bus stops, ring roads, the chippy, buildings and hinterland, forgotten characters and the everyday.

Jean and Sophie would like to invite you to join them in sharing your stories and ideas as they journey through Kirklees. You can follow them over the next six weeks as they tour with their ‘little red suitcase’ full of postcards, performance and ideas.
