Calling Dacorum, Letchworth and Watford based artists, creative and cultural providers who want to work with schools!

HCEP – the Hertfordshire Cultural Education Partnership (www.hertscep.org.uk ) is looking to hear from cultural & creative providers big and small based in Herts who want the opportunity to work (more) with local schools. With support from the Royal Opera House Bridge Organisation (www.roh.org.uk/learning/royal-opera-house-bridge ) they have been commissioned to build better co-creative relationships and networks between Hertfordshire schools and the wealth of creative and cultural talent that exists within the county to promote and support creative learning in schools.

HCEP is commissioning Herts based creative consultancy Glow (www.glowtraining.net) to create local co-creation networks with schools and young people and develop a database of cultural providers to support creative learning in educational settings. The project aims to run workshops with schools and providers to encourage greater communication through co-creation, leading to more projects in the school environment run in partnership with local artistic and cultural partners. Whatever the size of the organisation (from individual artists to NPOs), whatever your artform or practice, whether it be art, performance, heritage, digital or something else – if you have an offering for schools or want to learn more about how to create one, we’d like to hear from you. We’re especially interested in hearing from providers based in the Dacorum, Watford & Letchworth areas.

If you’re a creative practitioner and have experience of working with young people, we’d love to hear from you: The consultancy is already underway and the first draft of the database will need to be produced in the next few months- so don’t delay.
