"The Modern Art of Modern Watercolour, a global movement" by Timothy Wilcox

Watercolour painting is most often thought of as having reached its peak in the nineteenth century, with regard to both its enormous popularity and its capacity for technical invention. This lecture sets putt o explode this assumption, along with others, such as the idea of the British dominance of the art.

Timothy Wilcox read Modern Languages at Cambridge then History of Art at the Courtauld Institute. HIs career includes curatorial roles at the Tate, V&A and Dulwich Picture Gallery, teaching posts at Brighton and Surrey Universiites and his latest publication is the Introduction to the exhibition catalogue, Great British Drawings for the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford 2015.
