SCRATCH comes to the Bike Shed Exeter
Scratch has come to the Bike Shed Theatre.
SCRATCH at the Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter, is a platform where artists can show their work-in-progress pieces and get immediate feedback from the audience.
It will be taking place on Sunday the 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th November 2011.
We are aiming to help new and emerging artists by giving them a platform where they can take their experiments out of the rehearsal room and place them in front of an audience. All experiments are welcome, big or small.
Furthermore, we will be offering the artists involved a free production pack that will give some hints and tips for self promotion. We will also be working closely with them to make sure their piece fits perfectly into the Bike Shed Theatre.
SCRATCH will purposefully mix different artists and disciplines together, resulting in a fusion of styles that will excite all audiences. We will invite that audience to be a part of the action by offering them the chance to give the performers their feedback so that they can improve their practice.
The SCRATCH nights are an experiment in itself, and so whether you’re a dancer, poet, singer, theatre company, stand up, dancer or anything, we hope that you will join us in November.
If you would like to be involved please email Callum Elliott-Archer; scratch@bikeshedtheatre.co.uk for an application form.
Pieces can range from 3 minutes to 30 minutes in length.
All disciplines welcome.
The deadline for application is 15th September 2011.
