Bridget Poulter

Bridget Poulter Dance Practitioner/ Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist

I am a Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with ADMP UK, a qualified Keep Fit Association teacher and licenced 'Love To Move' deliverer. I teach traditional Egyptian dance and Laban-based creative movement classes and, hold individual and group sessions as an an integrative creative arts/play therapist. I work online or in person for organisations and my own private practice. I also work with drummer and percussionist, Tim Garside, for 'Nile School Shakers' providing dance/percussion workshops to schools, enriching Ancient Egypt curriculum studies.

I have a Community Interest Company, Moving Through Life CIC, to provide therapeutic embodied movement practice to a wider audience. I currently have funding to deliver the 'Love To Move' programme to older adults, people with dementia and those living with MS. LTM (from the British Gymnastics Foundation) is a mix of physical movement and cognitive stimulation activiities designed to maintain neural pathways and fine motor skills. From September 2022 I am offering 'Moving Through Menopause' a unique group for women facing this life stage, to meet, talk and move their stories in a supportive environment.
